Coloring images has always been one of my favorite things to do with cute and fun stamps. It is actually quite relaxing, and I think it kind of brings me back in time, to those days when the only thing you wanted to do was coloring. :) Another thing that I like is that you don’t really have to be an expert at coloring to enjoy doing this; with a little bit of practice and maybe a few sparkly details you can make the colored images look great.
The card that I am sharing today features a cute Stamp & Cut set called Santa's Elves, which is perfect to apply your coloring skills. :)
I began by stamping one of the elf images over a piece of white card stock. Then, I colored and die cut the image. Additionally I added glitter and glossy details. While the elf was drying, I created a white rectangular panel with a square window in the middle. Using the opening of the panel as a guide, I stamped a little pine tree with green ink over the card base, and I put a piece of card stock on the base of the tree to simulate snow.
I added some piercing details and then I adhered the white panel onto the card base. After that I heat-embossed the word Joy with Platinum powder, and I complemented it with a white-embossed sentiment on a strip of black card stock. Once the elf piece was dried, I adhered it with foam tape over the card front. At the very end, I put some clear gemstones here and there.
