We’re getting closer to the launch of our December My Monthly Hero kit on Monday at noon eastern! Krista Wells is back to share another idea, this time using the kit’s stamps and daubers in her scrapbook!
I knew that some of the phrases in the stamp set would be great for a project life-style layout that would focus on encouragement. I’ve been working on a ‘Road to the Marathon’ mini album and this double page spread included pics with some of that bright pink in it so I knew I just had to use the daubers for this layout.
I stamped the ‘Tely Teaser’ with CL821 Kelly’s Outline Letters set using AF218 Pink Neon Ink Pad ink. Then I stamped the long number line to represent ’10 miles’ . I also added ‘Little steps, Big dreams’ for my title card which is obviously perfect for a layout about running. I added a few stars and the phrase ‘you got this’ to some pink card stock before adhering it to a pic of my running feet. I stamped the date stamp + days of the week line too so I could add my date onto my picture.
I wanted to make a filler card for the opposite page so I used all three daubers and ‘bingo dabbed’ them onto the card sporadically, giving me a layered polka dot feel. Then I added the little ‘yes’ bubble to all the pink dots. It makes a super bright and fun filler card for the layout. I added another phrase, “you’re stronger than you think” to my watch picture using some white ink.
For my journaling I put some wash tape across the top and used a post-it from Kelly's Sticky Notes, stapling it to the card and stamped ‘high five’ a couple times. For my story I used the pink neon ink dauber and slid it across the card a bunch of times creating a bright pink block to write my words on. The daubers are so bright and so fun. I can think of a bunch of ways to use them and they’re the perfect match for the stamps sets too.
