Clustered Chrysanthemums

Hi. It’s Lucy here today, sharing a floral card that fits in with our current Nature Challenge. The gorgeous new Succulents set contains a variety of stamps that are perfect for creating a succulent scene. However, I wanted to make something a bit different. I decided to turn a couple of the succulents into chrysanthemums, creating a little cluster of watercolored flowers. I added some die cut vellum leaves to my flowers, created with the Spring Branch die, then finished the card off with a sentiment from the Fruit set.

The combination of vellum, thread, stitching and watercolor paper add texture to this card, yet it is almost flat for easy mailing.

So, have you added your nature card to the challenge page link up yet? You may just win a $30 Hero Arts shopping spree! I hope I have inspired you to have a go. If so, you have until March 20th to submit your entries.

Finally, just a note to say that we are currently experiencing some website problems meaning that the supplies links and card instructions are not available. As soon as these issues are fixed we will update all our posts.

Have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by.
