Butterfly Wreath

Happy Monday everyone! It’s Libby here with a little home decor project to put you in the mood for spring! I was recently visiting Lia Griffith’s blog (which I happen to *love*) and found an idea for a butterfly wreath. Right away the little polka-dotted butterfly from Stamp & Cut Butterflies came to mind, and I knew it would look adorable all over a wreath. And bonus! My daughter’s 1st grade class nickname is “The Butterflies”, so this made a perfect thank you gift for her amazing teacher.

I stamped the butterflies in three different shades of ink – Mint Julep, Tide Pool and Soft Pool. The bodies are stamped in Charcoal. I had found an inexpensive little grapevine wreath in the bins at Target, so I was happy to put it to good use! But you can usually find them at any of the big craft stores. I hot glued a bit of moss onto the wreath to create a pretty background for the sweet butterflies.

I definitely don’t consider myself the queen of DIY projects, but I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out!

And don’t forget about our Nature Challenge! It ends this Friday, March 20. A little DIY butterfly wreath would be an excellent way to play along! Find all of the challenge details right HERE.

Thanks for stopping by,
