We are back with another day of inspiration for using our December My Monthly Hero kit! The kit will be available on Monday, December 5th at 1pm eastern/10am pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more sneak peeks! In this post, Jayne shares a colorful birthday card that she created with some of the stamps and dies included in the December monthly kit.
The December My Monthly Hero kit is jam-packed with stamps and supplies for creating cards for all kinds of celebrations! There are so many wonderful items included in the kit, it’s hard to decide which ones to use first! Ultimately, I decided to make a birthday card using stamps and dies from the monthly kit.
First, I selected five of my favorite stamps and stamped them repeatedly across a white panel with Intense Black ink. I used the matching dies to cut masks for each of the images and then inked over each image with Butter Bar, Green Hills, Tide Pool, Bubble Gum or Mint Julep ink. I secured the panel to a white card base with foam tape.
Next, I heat embossed two birthday sentiments from the monthly kit onto a black tag, threaded the tag with black twine, and added it to the card with foam tape. I also inked, stamped and die cut a gift box and piece of cake with a candle. I added both images to the sentiment tag with foam tape and finished the card with a pair of clear gems.
Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all of the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, December 5th, before the kit launches at 1pm eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!
We’ll be back later today with another look at this month’s kit! Hope you stop by!
