Just thinking about Spring makes me smile. I love flowers, their variety of colors, and their beauty. I guess that is one of the reasons flower stamps are always my first choice when making a card. Today I am showing a card that I made using a beautiful woodblock stamp from the 2016 Catalog called Antique Rose Stem.

To begin, I created a card base from Mixed Layering Paper (Iris color) and then stamped a background ([hero_product_link sku="CG682" text="Dot Moire Bold Prints "]) with [hero_product_link sku="AF263" text="Ultra Pink"]. After that, I white-embossed the Antique Rose Stem over a watercolor paper panel. I used three Mid-Tone Shadow Ink colors ([hero_product_link sku="AF263" text="Ultra Pink"], [hero_product_link sku="AF262" text="Lime Green"], and [hero_product_link sku="AF223" text="Tide Pool"]) as watercolors! :) Yes, I did that. I dabbed the pad onto an acrylic block and then, using a water and a brush, I transferred the ink over the image.

I matted the panel with a Layering Paper rectangle (Tide color) and adhered the panel onto the card base. I placed a piece of decorative tape at the bottom, stamped a [hero_product_link sku="CL949" text="sentiment"] with black ink over a strip of watercolor paper, and adhered it with foam tape. Finally, I embellished the card with gemstones and pearls. So now, I hope you have found some inspiration to create some cards and participate in the current challenge:

Hero Arts Fabulous Flowers Challenge

And finally, a reminder - all of the new products included in the 2016 Catalog will be available on February 8th in the Hero Arts store! We'll be celebrating on Monday with a big blog hop with some of our favorite designers, so stay tuned! :D Thanks for joining me,
