July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #3 + Giveaway!
We are back with another look at the July My Monthly Hero Release! The kit will be available on Monday, July 3rd at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be sharing ideas for using the main kit and the optional add-on products all weekend long, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Now let’s join May who is sharing another look at the main kit!
Happy July! It’s May here with a one layer watercolor card featuring a gorgeous floral stamp set included in the July My Monthly Hero Kit.
I started by loosely watercoloring my background along the border using Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Of course I used some watercolor paper for my panel.
Then I stamped the floral bouquet image a few times from the main kit with Memento Tuxedo black ink. I also stamped little floral images from the Summer Garden Stamp Set to fill in the gap.
I watercolored my images using ZIG Clean Color Real Brush Pens. I didn’t color them in details as there were so many little petals to color, and I thought loose watercoloring would work best for my flowers.
After stamping the sentiment from the main kit with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink, I added paint splatters to add some interest to my card.
That’s all for today. Hope my watercolor card inspired you to create something beautiful this weekend. Happy crafting!
Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, July 3rd, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern.
