July My Monthly Hero Countdown: Idea #1 + Giveaway!

Jun 30, 2017 Hero Arts Info

Hello and welcome as we begin the countdown to the release of the July My Monthly Hero kit! Release day is Monday, July 3rd at 1pm Eastern/10am Pacific. We’ll be here for the next three days, sharing ideas for using both the main kit, as well as the optional add-on products that will be available on Monday. Don’t forget to comment on each and every post as we’ll be giving away a kit Monday morning, before the kit launches. Now let’s join Michelle who is sharing the first look at this fantastic kit!

Hello there, I am delighted to be sharing a card I have made using the main kit, along with the Little Florals Stamp set which is an optional add-on. There are two 4″ x 6″ stamp sets in the kit. One has a selection of florals in it and the other, lots of different containers to hold the flowers in.

For my card, I started off by taking the bow image from one of the main stamp sets in the kit. I stamped this on to a piece of white cardstock using Intense Black Ink and then again on to mask paper.

The mask was cut out and placed on to the stamped image. I then stamped the floral bouquet over it so it looks like the ribbon is wrapped around the flower stems. I took the mask off of the ribbon and coloured the image using Copic Markers. I then fussy cut it out using scissors.

Next, I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped the sentiment, from the Little Florals set, on to it using Intense Black Ink. I then embossed this piece in my die cutting machine using the Delicate Petals Stencil. This gives a nice subtle look but adds some interest to the background. This panel was added to a 4″ x 5.25″ white card base.

I added the bouquet of flowers next to the sentiment using foam tape. To finish off the card, I added a small purple gem to the middle of the bow. I then created a matching envelope for my card. I took a Floral Mix Envelope and added anti-static powder to the flap. I then stamped the same bouquet of flowers but this time using Versamark Ink. I applied White Embossing Powder and then heat set.

Win a kit before you can buy it! Just leave a comment on this (and every) Countdown to Creativity post! We’ll randomly draw one lucky winner from all the comments left across all countdown posts, and announce the winner first thing Monday morning, July 3rd, before the kit launches at 1pm Eastern. The more you comment, the more chances to win!

Good luck!
