Be Merry

I love all kind of animals, and when I see pictures or videos of them, they always make me smile. I guess that is one of the reasons that I also love stamp sets that feature creatures. Today I am sharing a card featuring a Stamp & Cut set called Winter Penguin. The set includes a pair of penguins, sentiments, a few additional images and a coordinating metal die-cut. I have to say that no matter how you decide to use these penguins, your projects are going to look super cute!

I started by stamping the background of the card using a large cling stamp called Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints.  I used Tide Pool Mid-Tone Shadow Ink over a light pool tone card base.

Then, I created the slanted white panel from Snow Layering Paper. The width of this panel measures 2.5″. Before I adhered the panel over the card base, I put decorative tape underneath and along the right and left panel edges.

The two penguins were stamped with black ink onto a piece of Snow Layering Paper with Black Ink. I die-cut the images, and I colored their feet and beak with an orange marker. I also stamped the bow and hat images, I colored them with a red marker, and I trimmed them with scissors. I adhered the penguins onto the card with foam tape, and I glued their bow and hat. Next, I added details of Glossy Accents over them.

While the Glossy Accents details were drying, I  white embossed the sentiment on a piece of black card stock. I die-cut the sentiment into a text bubble using another Stamp & Cut set called Yes. I adhered the bubble text with foam tape, and I embellished the card with a few clear gemstones and enamel dots.

Thanks for joining me today!
