A Trio of Cute Animal Notecards

Would you believe in my neck of the woods, school starts up again this coming Monday?! I can hardly believe it, I’ll tell you that! My daughter is going into the 2nd grade, and she has left me a few not-so-subtle hints that she’d really like me to start leaving little notes in her lunchbox. In fact, she has said “Mom, why don’t you ever put little notes in my lunchbox?” See, not so subtle. :) What she doesn’t know is that I’ve already made a little stash of them to surprise her with every now and then!

Find out how to make these cards — click for complete supplies and instructions.

These notecards are only 3″x3″, which fits into tiny envelopes I already had in my stash. My daughter is a huge animal lover, so I decided the Cute Animal Trio of woodblock stamps would be perfect. And I wanted quick and easy cards, so the matching dies made it that much easier!

I die-cut the tags from watercolor paper, and created a quick watercolored background. Then I stamped and die-cut the animals, which I added with a bit of foam tape. The “i love you” message from Hello Stamp & Cut set was perfect to add for my sweet girl.

Next on my list, I’ll be making more little notecards for her with the Playful AnimalsAnimal Messages and matching dies! Fun fun fun! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
