Notepad and Pen Set

Stuff a stocking with this fun stamped notepad and pen set -- it's as cute as it is useful! Ribbon binds the notepad together, and each perforated sheet can be torn out.

Additional Materials:
colored pencils (red and green), perforator blade, white gel pen, Threading Water punch (Fiskars), 1/4" hole punch (Crop-a-Dile), 2 gold 3/8" eyelets, red pen (RSVP), 4x6" memo refill, thick grosgrain polka dot ribbon

Instructions:
  1. Punch 1/4" holes in approximately 100 sheets of 4 x 6" memo paper with thin sheet of cardboard on the back of stack for support.
  2. Perforate all sheets approximately 1 1/2" from top.
  3. To make cover, trim following scraps from notecards: 4 1/8" x 5 1/2" red panel, 3 1/2" x 4" dark green panel, 4 1/8" x 1 1/2" and 4 1/8" x 1" strips of green apple.
  4. Punch scallop dotted border along bottom of dark green and red panels and adhere green panel to red panel as shown.
  5. Adhere green apple 4 1/8" x 1 1/2" strip to top of scalloped panels.
  6. Adhere 4 1/4" x 1" strip of green apple to bottom back of red panel.
  7. Using scallop scissors, cut out thin red strip and adhere to top of cover.
  8. Score fold 1 1/2" from top of cover at base of green apple strip (where cover will bend open).
  9. Punch holes through cover (in same position as step #1) and set two gold eyelets.
  10. Thread wide polka dot ribbon from back of pad through to front of cover and tie in a knot at front.
  11. Stamp large tree using fresh green green ink and two small trees using cardinal ink onto white cardstock.
  12. Cut out images and add contrasting colored pencil detail in red and green to each tree.
  13. Adhere to front cover.
  14. Stamp Season's Greeting Tag onto green apple and dark green scraps using fresh green ink and trim.
  15. Trim 1/2 circle from dark green scrap and adhere to bottom of green apple tag.
  16. Using white gel pen, add white to scalloped border, middle line, and personalize tag with name of recipient.
  17. Add three red gemstones as holly berries and adhere to the front of the notepad.
  18. Stamp small snowflakes in green ink around trees.
  19. Add border of medium accent pearls to top of pad as well as the tip of each tree to complete cover.
  20. To add pen holder, cut out dark green scrap approximately 1" x 3". Create loop and secure with adhesive to inside back panel of notepad.
  21. Add scrap from a red note card to the inside of a red RSVP pen and place inside pen holder to finish.
