ClearDesign Ideas & Tips
By Shari Carroll

I'm so excited to share our new line of stamps with you. They are totally different, totally alphabet, and totally Clear!

Purchase ClearDesign Sets in the online store!

Instructions:
The large letters featured in each Clear Design set is 2" x 3" which is a suitable size for both scrapbooking and card making. Each set comes with complimentary words and images to complete a themed 4"x6" sheet.

Artists, Sally Traidman, Lisa Spangler, Nancy Taylor, Kughee Yim and I have put together a snippet of samples to show our individual style and highlight some of our favorite ideas using these ClearDesign Sets. You can click on the letters at left to see a sample made with that letter.

Sally's "S" card is a wonderful example of the stamps just from one sheet. She has created a dainty monogram by trimming out the edges of the letter with pinking shears. Her background is full of soft stamped swirls and words.

Lisa shows how to mask and watercolor on her "J" card. The colors of the watercolors contrast against the card to create a balanced effect. By adding little gems to the flowers, Lisa shows how to finish the card with a bit of whimsy.

Nancy stamped the "x-traordinary" message on her "X" card and then added fun embellishments such as flower sequins and a tiny envelope to finish it off. ClearDesign stamps make it easy to precisely align images.

Kughee filled in her "E" monogram with other images featured on a sheet. The clear stamps allow her to line up the images with ease. Her use of flowers tucked into the letter completes the finishing touch.

To show you a quick and easy scrapbook page, I chose to stamp my "R" onto patterned paper that compliments the other colors of the layout. I used other words from the set which are related to my theme.

In my next technique article I will discuss how to use and care for ClearDesign stamps. Until then, I will leave you with one last tip: you can place a clear stamp on an acrylic block so that the etched side is facing the block and the "back" of the stamp is ready for inking. You now have a perfectly sized shadow stamp!
