Sending Love

Perky polka dots provide the background for this sweet friendship card. And, the tiniest of buttons adds dimension to the flower.

Instructions:
1.) Using the large polka dot pattern and marigold ink, stamp the right-hand edge of the card.

2.) On a separate piece of white card stock stamp both small polka dot designs, one on top of each other. In edges of design with marigold ink and the centers with canary yellow ink.

3.) Ink the flower portion of the design with a combination of marigold and canary yellow ink. Use the marigold ink to give more color to the edges of the petals. Add green ink to the leaves and black ink to the stem. Stamp in the center of the polka dot squares. Let ink dry. Trim edges and layer with a piece of buttercup Tsumugi paper. Trim edges and adhere to the front of card at a slight angle.

4.) Glue a tiny orange button to the center of the flower.

Variation:
Make this card with shades of violet and purple. Try using a combination Heliotrope (VS173), Violet (VS172) and Imperial Blue VS193. These hues give this card a spring-like look.
