Watch it Wednesday with a Sneaky Video!

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010

Welcome back everyone!   I’ve got so many fun things to share with you today!  First of all, it’s December 1st and that means we have a new challenge and theme for the month. It is Giving Thanks & Color Challenge with the featured technique of Adding Shine!  Check out all the details HERE!  We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

And then our VP of Sales Todd Mullins snuck into Santa’s workshop and spied some brand spanking NEW 2011 goodies! He was kind enough to shoot some footage of his adventure. Check it out!

Okay…did you see some GREAT stuff?  I’m so excited because I get to show you a card with one of our new 2011 images.  I am sure this Classic Fabric Design Cling (CG245) stamp will be on everyone’s wish list, it’s just beautiful and can be used with so many technique options!  I incorporated a Hero Arts Silhouette Vase with the background design.

Card by Shari Carroll.  Supplies and instructions can be found HERE.

This card was a natural fit, really, I did the pieces separately, unintentional, when I was cleaning up my desk and gathering things up, the vase landed on top of the background image and VIOLA!  I love it when that happens!

Oh and I can’t forget this! On Monday I had a giveaway of three BIG Snowflake stamps.  It’s time to announce my winners.

I have a huge extended family, and want to send handmade cards, which means I make inked and creative cards until I run out of time, then I do cheery-but-simple cards with decorative papers and showy embellishments. Then I spend a bit of time matching card to recipient. By then, I’m behind on everything else!…….

Welcome back to make-it-in-minutes card week!  Today is “Watch It Wednesday”, where we have a video to share with you.

Watch and see how fast this is — I actually had to slow myself down!

I just love these NEW Shadow Inks! Here’s a little more about them:

  • Quick drying on all paper surfaces
  • Exclusively designed to use with Hero Arts Shadow Stamps
  • Stamp subtle washes of delicate color
  • New formulation with a new look
  • Acid free, archival, and fade resistant
  • Come in eight shades

I used Soft Leaf, Soft Blossom, and Soft Lilac on the video card.  Here’s a closeup so that you can see it better:

Featured Supplies

  • Misty Swirl Background Shadow Stamp
  • Shadow Inks in Soft Lilac, Soft Blossom, Soft Leaf
  • Slanted Tree
  • Small Blossom Gems

I couldn’t resist making one more card.  For this one, I used Soft Pool Shadow Ink instead of Soft Lilac, and paired it with a Pool Notecard.  Love how the Soft Pool matches the notecard!
