Well, hello there! Fancy meeting you here! ;)

Congratulations…you have reached the final destination of the 2011 Catalog Blog Hop! We hope you found lots of inspiration in the projects our artists and special guests created! And the stamps — how about those lovely new images?!

The hoppin’ may be stoppin’, but we’re not done with the fun! First, here’s a look at the 18 new featured stamps/sets you’ve seen highlighted throughout the hop today:

Do you have a favorite? (It’s okay, we won’t tell the other stamps!) ;)

This is a small sampling of what you will find in the new 2011 Catalog! We’ll be sharing the stamps and accessories from the catalog in FULL on Monday, December 20th — the day the digital catalog is published on! In the meantime, you can find the catalog and featured stamps at participating Catalog Debut stores. Find a retailer near you here and contact them for Preview Party details! Parties begin tomorrow (Saturday, December 11th) and continue throughout the month.

On January 5th, all 2011 Catalog stamps will be available in the Hero Arts Online Store as well!

Now it’s time to unveil the catalog itself! We shared a few peeks in Wednesday’s video, but they were quick, so here it is up close! We’re proud to present the Hero Arts 2011 Catalog cover featuring a cheerful garden of stamped fabric flowers by Sally Traidman…

Before we go, how about another prize! We have a fabulous assortment of brand new stamps and a 2011 catalog to give away to to one lucky person who comments right here on THIS post!  We’d love to hear which stamps from the hop are at the top of your wish list and what you might create with them. Leave a comment and let us know what you think, or simply let us know if you enjoyed the hop!  We’ll pick one random winner for the giveaway, to be announced on Wednesday, December 15. Let’s Hop! Hero Arts 2011 Catalog Blog Hop!

Friday, December 10th, 2010

Hello and welcome to the Hero Arts 2011 Catalog Blog Hop! We’re so happy you’re here!!

In anticipation and celebration of our 2011 Catalog, we’ve lined up 24 Hero Arts designers and friends to create projects with brand NEW 2011 stamps. It’s going to be an inspiring showcase of ideas and a glimpse of what awaits at Catalog Preview Parties worldwide! It’s also going to be a chance for you to WIN some of the new stamps…stay tuned for more on that in a bit!

First, our very own Sally Traidman and Nancy Taylor are here with some projects to get things hoppin’!

Sally says, “Holiday Greetings everyone! As you all know, I love flowers. Real, paper, silk…they are all good! I chose this fabulous new woodblock stamp, F5493 Hand Drawn Small Flower, to make a colorful bouquet of stamps that will live forever. Simply stamp it on any paper scrap three times and layer it by cutting it down. Stick foam tape in between, stick a fringed strip in the middle and pop a wire in the center. Tape or glue it to the wire and cover with floral tape. Add leaves. Have fun hopping around today. Hope you gather some really great ideas!”

And now here’s Nancy! She says,“Welcome to our new Hero Arts Catalog blog hop! Hop along with us for some new and exciting samples of things to come. We have be waiting (not so patiently) to show all of you our beautiful new images, so take a deep breath and have fun. With so many new stamps to choose from this was a tough decision. However; I thought after everybody’s marathon stamping over the holidays we needed a simple, ‘Minute to Stamp It’ card for Thank You’s that can use up some of your holiday supplies. This Silhouette card featuring the new woodblock LP195 3 Silhouettes can be made with many different colors of paper scraps and accessories (think blue and silver and a snowflake gem or maybe a felt tree with red and green paper. Hippety-hop here we go!

Thanks for the wonderful inspiration, Sally and Nancy!

Now, about those PRIZES we mentioned earlier…here’s the scoop!

  • We’ll be randomly giving away two HUGE prize bundles (2011 stamps and catalogs!) to people who leave comments on the blogs along the hop, starting with this one! To enter, just leave a comment on any of the participating blogs linked below. You won’t want to miss a single project so be sure to visit all of them! The more comments you leave the more times you’ll be entered into the random draw. (Only one comment per blog post, please.) You have until midnight PST on Monday, December 13, to leave your comments, so you have plenty of time to work your way through the hop as time allows this weekend and on Monday.
  • But that’s not all! We’ll have even more goodies to give away to someone who makes it to the hop’s final destination and leaves a comment there. Where oh where could that be?! Hop along and see!
  • All winners will be announced on the blog on Wednesday, December 15.

Shaped Cards with Social Club + our final Sneak Peek!

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

Shaped cards are so unique and such fun - and not something you’ll find on the stand of any average card shop!  So we thought we’d take a look at some of the beautiful shaped cards that have recently caught our eye in the Hero Arts Flickr Pool.

Pia’s stunning vintage circle card really stands out.  We adore the combination of lace and twine, and the beautiful trees from our Get Merry set.  And best of all, she made this card to use up scraps!

Jenn’s super-sweet birthday card is irresistible.  We love the way she’s altered the Girl Holding Flowers stamp to make her hold that delicious looking glittery cupcake.  Genius.

And finally, Vicky’s fabulous window card, using stamps from our Wishes Come True set, makes a perfect holiday card for a guy.

Ladies, thank you for sharing your talents with us!  If you’d like a Social Club blinkie for your blog, send us an email at and we’ll pass it along.

Have you entered our current contest yet?  Giving Thanks, Color Challenge and Adding Shine Technique projects are due by 11:59pm PST next Thursday, 16th December. Remember to add the tag December2010A.  We can’t wait to see what you’ve created.

And one final sneak peek before tomorrow’s blog hop before we go.  It’s a fun one!  We’ll be back this afternoon to reveal it…

Happy Stamping,
