Motivation Monday with Fun Folds

Monday, April 5th, 2010

april_theme_500

Hi everyone, welcome back to the blog. It seems like for-ever since I’ve hosted a week and I’m thrilled to be back in action!  We have started our new monthly challenge, just click on the image above to get all the details.

This week I thought it would be fun to do some exploring of card fold ideas.  I’ve seen a few new types pop up in the Flickr Group so I thought I’d show you my take on them plus more. I’ll also be focusing on using large images and background stamps with all my cards this week.   I’m in love with a few backgrounds that I absolutely can’t live without… they are; the Friend Definition, Flourish Background and Cling Dots.  These are my go to stamps time and time again.

Today’s card uses the Friend Definition plus a sneak of some stamps from the new Artist Proof supplement.  I know, I’m such a tease, but I just couldn’t help myself!  This card uses a flap opening to cover the greeting.  I used the  Envelope Liner Template to create the edge and Hero Hues Laying Papers to make a top fold type card.

Jennifer created today’s 100 Days of Ideas using the Friend Definition on a couple layers.  She is so creative and I love how she stamped the leaves over top the background.  Simple elegance at it’s best!
