July 2010 Contest Details

Hero Arts has a new 2010 contest format! Hero Arts is now offering exciting MONTH-long contests around a creative monthly theme and featured technique. We will announce winners in TWO groups, so you have twice the opportunities to win! (Please note that July has five Thursdays so we have made some revisions to the usual calendar, noted below.)

  • Submit as many entries as you would like around the monthly themes and/or featured technique.
  • Submit by the third Thursday and the fifth Thursday of the month.
  • 1st Group of Winners announced the fourth Thursday of the month from the early submissions.
  • 2nd Group of Winners announced the first Thursday of the next month from ALL submissions.

Here are the details for July 2010…

July Challenge: Create a new card, scrapbook page, or other project based on the themes of Food or Travel, or create a project of ANY theme that features a Bookmaking technique. (Shari Carroll has a wonderful technique article with one idea, but the possibilities are endless!) Please use at least one Hero Arts stamp or Hero Arts digital element on each of your projects.

Submitting and Tagging: Upload your entries to the Hero Arts Flickr Group. Check the FAQ here for more information on how to upload to Flickr. When submitting your creations, please be sure to include the following tags:

  • For projects created between July 1 and July 15 (11:59pm PST) - Tag entries with July2010A
  • For projects created between July 16 and July 29 (11:59pm PST) - Tag entries with July2010B

Prizes: By entering, you could win a shopping spree of your choice of Hero Arts products from the Hero Arts Online Store! The prize amounts are as follows and will be awarded on both Thursday, July 22 and Thursday, August 5:
