Hero Arts offers exciting MONTH-long contests based upon creative monthly themes and a featured technique/project. We will announce winners in TWO groups, so you have twice the opportunities to win! (Please note that January has five Thursdays so we have made some revisions to the usual calendar, noted below.)

• Submit as many entries as you would like around the monthly themes and/or featured technique.
• Submit by the third Thursday and the fifth Thursday of the month.
• 1st Group of Winners announced the fourth Thursday of the month from the early submissions.
• 2nd Group of Winners announced the first Thursday of the next month from ALL submissions.

January Challenge: Create a NEW stamped project based on any of the following…

• Try Something New — A new year is the perfect time to try something new! A new technique, new color combination, new stamp, new inkpad, new embellishment…anything new to YOU!
• ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) — Miniature works of art created on a 2. 5″ x 3. 5″ base. Any theme goes! Be sure to check out Shari Carroll’s January technique article and video on ATCs.
• Create a project using 3-4 colors from the palette below, inspired by our new Just Beachy ink cube pack. Color names are provided for reference but feel free to substitute similar shades.

Please use at least one Hero Arts stamp or Hero Arts digital element on each of your projects. Digital elements include Hero Arts Digital Kits, Hero Arts Silhouette designs, Hero Arts Digital Die Cuts, and Hero Arts Printables.)

Submitting and Tagging: Upload your entries to the Hero Arts Flickr Group. Check the FAQ here for more information on how to upload to Flickr. When submitting your creations, please be sure to include the following tags:

• For projects created between January 1 and January 17 (11:59pm PST) - Tag entries with January2013A
  
• For projects created between January 18 and January 31 (11:59pm PST) - Tag entries with January2013B

UPDATED PRIZES FOR 2013! By entering, you could win a shopping spree of your choice of Hero Arts products from the Hero Arts Online Store! The prize amounts are as follows and will be awarded on both Thursday, January 24 and Thursday, February 7:
