Today I’ve incorporated a trimming of the silk flower variety along with an inexpensive photo mat board.  I’ve stamped the mat board then added some printed paper, ribbon, corrugated paper, cardstock and a stamped greeting for the holidays.  This would be great gifts for parents and grandparents.

The layering of the trimmings give a nice texture to the finished project. I’m sure it will get touch a lot, so add some extra glue dots!

…a purse! How amazing is that?! Barbara says, “This quick project would be perfect for all of the owl lovers on your list! If you have basic sewing skills it is pretty easy to put together. It also uses up some of those wonderful scraps of fabric that you have on hand. I used my favourite Amy Butler fabric to create this dotted owl purse .”

Next, there’s this beautiful old fashioned Christmas collage piece that nancyljk created to honor her mother’s creativity. I love how she used recycled cards from last year, felt, Poinsettia Art Flowers, the Clear Design Build Your Own, Old Letter Writing and Brocade Cling stamps, and of course — glitter!

Here’s a little shot of the snowflake detail.  Hopefully you can see how the string lays in between the two felt snowflakes.

Sheri Reguly’s Layout of the Week is such a great mix of colors and patterns — a fun change of pace for those holiday pages! Take a closer look HERE!

This first ornament uses the Poinsettia Flowers (about 1 1/2 packs) on a 3″ paper ring that I’ve cut from cardstock.  I’ve folded the flowers in half, then in half again and attached them to the ring with glue dots.  I also stuck in some felt greens and poinsettia.

This next card uses a clear tag that I’ve cut about 3/4″ off the bottom, then stamped the Flourish Background with White StazOn ink…I added the buttons with Glue Dots. So fun and sparkly!

Today I’m working with small scraps and trimmings that would otherwise be thrown away.  By using some of my leftover papers with smaller stamp images (and a bit of sewing) I’ve come up with some holiday cards that you can make in a snap.
