Springy Stenciled Thank You

Finally…Spring is here! Even though the grass is still brown where I live, brighter and more colorful days are just around the corner. So it’s time to bring the colors of the season into the paper crafting palette as well. Today’s card is a Springy thank you note created with the gorgeous Night Flower stencil.

Find out how to make this card — click for complete supplies and instructions.

I did some layered inking with the stencil. First I created a blue background by scribbling a marker onto a clear acrylic block, misting with water, and stamping it onto white cardstock. Once dry, I laid the stencil over the blue background and inked it with Unicorn White pigment ink. I went back in with the stencil once again and inked over the top of the white with Ultra Pink ink. Layering the pink on top of the white makes the flower pop a little bit more off of the background and also gives it a sort of soft, velvety appearance.

Here are a couple more tips for creating the card…
