Scenic & Tie Dye Dauber Watercoloring

Hello there! It’s Sandy Allnock here visiting with some inspiration for you! I’m always excited for the opportunity to visit the blog and YouTube channel…because Hero Arts stampers are so awesome! And of course the stamps are SUPER - today I’ll be using the “You’re a Winner” set with lots of amazingly cool sentiments:

I’ve been playing around with daubers, too…I’ve been asked so many times, “Do you mean, like those little finger things? Or like bingo?” I’m talking about the bingo-style daubers, so I hope you have a few in your collection to play along with me. This watercolor technique is SO much fun, and I’ve got two versions of it to share in the video - artistic types might like to create a scenic painting, while others will want a background to play with.

(If you are having problems viewing this video, please try watching it HERE on YouTube.)

The scenics were so very much fun…and I wish you could see them in person, the colors are just so soft and lovely!

The second way to use this watercolor technique is a little tie-dye looking! I have to fess up, I didn’t like my entire sheets of background enough to make a whole card base with just this technique…but hopefully I’ll improve over time and get to that point. Instead, I took my circle punches and cut out the best parts to use on these designs - how FUN! (Lisa Spangler is always telling us to use our leftover scratch paper to use as background pieces…so I expect I might try this with some of those sheets too!)

At the end of the video, I linked you over to today’s quick OWHtv episode (we do short daily shows!) - I hope you’ll click over to see it. It’s a letter from a service member that just filled my heart with joy…knowing that Operation Write Home is having such a powerful impact!
