New Hero Arts spray mists!

Hey there! It’s Lisa here today with a bright and cheery post for you! I’m so excited to be the first to show you the new line of Hero Arts spray mists, to be released with the other goodies in the 2014 Catalog! It’s like happiness in a bottle!

New for 2014: Hero Arts SPRAYS!

The first colors are, from left to right:

  • Neon Blue (WM107)
  • Neon Purple (WM108)
  • Neon Green (WM106)
  • Neon Yellow (WM105)
  • Neon Orange (WM104)
  • Neon Pink (WM103)
  • Neon Red (WM109)

These are so new that I haven’t received the “official” ones — mine are the prototypes! But I couldn’t wait to put them through their paces! First, I simply sprayed them on white cardstock as above and turned the sprayed piece into a card!

Doesn’t the spray add a great texture?

And I think the scattered dots go perfectly with the “scatter joy” sentiment in the new Anything Can Happen (CL730) clear set!

Next I broke out my Tweed Pattern stencil to see how that worked. I started out by spraying Neon Yellow towards the top, then gave a mist or two of Neon Orange, and finally added some Neon Pink in the right corner. Love how this turned out!

Woot woot! by Lisa Spangler for Hero Arts

I used some sentiments from the new clear Yay! (CL752) set — just love how it goes with the mist and the happy colors! Woot woot!

By the way, there are NEW stencils coming out in the 2014 Catalog too! :)

Finally, since the sprays are water-based I just had to see how well they worked as watercolors! So I grabbed a paintbrush and painted some polka dots, making some with the spray straight from the bottle and mixing varying amounts of water with others.

Here’s a closeup so you can see them better! I think they blend together really well!

I finished off the card by splattering some spray here and there with the brush, then stamping stars and “cheers” from that same¬†Yay! (CL752) set that I used on the Woot Woot card above. I added a few Black Metallic Decor here and there and that was that.

I can’t wait to try the new sprays along with the matching neon inks and daubers!

Can’t wait to try these for yourself? Well, you’ll be able to find these new sprays and stamps at participating stores starting December 17th — not long now! Click HERE to find a store near you. Today is the last day for stores to sign up and be listed on the page, so if you don’t see your local store be sure to let them know.

Join us tomorrow to see who won the Holiday Contest!

See you then, and hope you enjoyed this first look at the NEW Hero Arts sprays! Woot!
