True Love: Always + Forever

Hi there! It’s Kelly here and we’ve got a fun week planned here on the blog! Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, we will be featuring projects all week using the gorgeous BasicGrey True Love collection. The pink, red and aqua colors in this collection are perfect for those love themed cards.

Today I decided to pair some of the images from the Amore clear stamp set with the 6×6 paper pad to create this card.

Isn’t that woodgrain paper gorgeous?!?! There is also a cling background stamp with this pattern called Wood Background, so you could make any color of woodgrain your heart desires.

I used the Pale Tomato and Wet Cement inks for the heart and sentiment…and they are both a great match to the colors in this collection.

And my favorite part of the card is the Floral Lace Fancy Die that was cut from Shallows Layering Paper. It didn’t really work to use the whole circle, so I just trimmed out the middle portion of my die cut and pieced it back together. Once I covered the seam with a strip of patterned paper, you can’t even tell die was modified. Such a great way to get more use out of this die!
