Die Cut Wood Embellishments
Hello! It’s Kelly here. I have always loved to create my own embellishments, like these buttons and these flowers, so today I decided to try something new and create my own wood embellishments. Here’s a video to show you how they came together. (Sorry in advance about the blurry parts in the video…wish I could figure out how to fix it.)

Find out how to make this card — click here for complete supplies and instructions.
Here’s a look at some other wood embellishments cut from Hero Arts Frame Cuts and Sizzix Framelits Dies. Aren’t they so fun!?! I especially love the tag…it would be such a cute way to dress up a gift.

I’ve had these wood veneer pieces in my stash for over 10 years, and I’m happy to finally put them to use!
Have a wonderful day!

HI Ivette- I got my wood veneer pieces here: http://www.impressrubberstamps.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=Maple_Cards&Category_Code=E2. And as far as damaging the dies or making them dull, I haven’t noticed any problems with mine so far. I would just suggest to use a very thin wood veneer to make sure and avoid any problems. Thanks, Kelly

Gorgeous, gorgeous card, Kelly! Your tag is fabulous and I love the way you’ve layered vellum (thanks for the tips on how to adhere it) on the background! The wooden hearts are so sweet!

Really cute card and a fun idea I’ll have to try. Unfortunately, the focus on the segment was very poor and was a little hard to watch.
