A one layer card…with a twist!

Hi all! It’s Lisa here today and for the “try something new” challenge this month I decided to try a one layer card…with a twist! The twist, you ask? The front is actually the inside of a Punch notecard — I opened up the notecard and then re-folded it in reverse! Then I partially cut away the front to show the red inside. Check it:

I had to use this week’s Stamp of the Week: Typewriter Notes! Here’s a closeup so that you can see it better. Just love all of the messages in the set, plus the little heart too!

And that’s not all! I used the new wood background from BasicGrey to make a “desk” for the typewriter to sit on, stamping it in new charcoal, masking off the typewriter, and sponging on antique linen distress ink.

   What a cute and fun card, Lisa! Love the way we can see the gorgeous inside of the card and the typewriter is so pretty in that colour and with the little heart on the paper! I hope the day improved for you:) I have to say I laughed when I first saw the “@#$%^&” in that sentiment set - what a fun idea!
