Happy 2013!! It’s Libby, and I’m happy to kick off the new year here on the blog with a new contest announcement (more on that in a minute!) and a happy little celebratory card featuring the new Hexagon Background. I stamped it mixing several shades of blue (Soft Pool, Pool, Neon Blue & Ocean), sponging the ink directly onto the stamp. I also stamped and cut out several of the hexagons, coating them with silver glitter to mimic big silver disco balls hanging at a fabulous New Year’s party. (Truth: I don’t go to fabulous New Year’s parties. I play games with family on New Year’s Eve. Maybe I’ll be fabulous once the kids are in college…)

We thought this would make a fun first challenge for 2013, as a new year is the perfect time to try new things! We also have a color challenge and the technique is making Artist Trading Cards (ATCs).
