Snow Much Joy!

It' a blog swap!

Hi you guys! Kelly and I are back with another happy, merry holiday swap today! I just love what Kelly made! And I have a riddle for you!

What do you get when you take these merry snowmen tags:

And add them to this jolly box?

Kelly's jolly box!

Answer: Snow much joy, that’s what! :)

Snow much joy!

Kelly says:

I created my own patterned paper using different stamps from the Snow Much Joy stamp set. I used Versamark on Hero Arts’ awesome kraft paper for a tone on tone look. This is a great way to make a really unique paper that can be part of a really unique gift!

I then used that custom patterned paper and some red card stock to create a cute box. I also tied a second bow with the ends of the first twine bow to create a “fancier” look!

I created the tag by stamping the smaller snowman first, masking him off, and then stamping the larger snowman slightly overlapping so it would look like they were hanging out together. I colored them in and cut around them with a small border. The back of them looked a bit ugly with the marker bleed through so I adhered them to another piece of white cardstock and just trimmed it off to be the same shape as the cut out snowmen. Now the back is pretty and perfect for a message! I punched a hole in the top and threaded some twine to match the box through. This is a great way to make any stamped image a tag!

To get the green leaves: I used another snowman that had the leaves not solid and colored, cut them out and adhered them. I stamped the smaller snowman’s holly leaves by stamping him in green and cutting them out. I adhered some cute Hero pearls for the holly. I think they add some pizazz!

Yay, thanks snow much Kelly! Just love this! And now, click on over to the Lawn Fawn blog to see what I made for today!

One last thing before I go! Since it’s Tuesday, we always highlight the Stamp of The Week! This week’s stamp is the Solid Dots Pattern, and it’s 25% now through Sunday! Woo!

Hope you’re having a great week so far! We’ll both be back tomorrow with happy videos to share!

See you then,

These are just too cute! The snowman tag is so sweet; love how you made the holly on the hats. The box is perfect with the tone-on-tone stamping. Thanks for the ideas.

Hi Nan! Kelly used a Martha Stewart scoring board to make the box, and the instructions are right on the scoring board. Hope that helps! :)

I love the box and the tag! It is the little things, like the red pearls and the green leaves that really add to the overall effect and make it all pop. Great job, as usual, Kelly!
