Hi all and happy Monday! It’s Lisa here, and I have a very special, super sweet friend joining me all this week: Kelly Marie Alvarez, owner of Lawn Fawn stamps! YAY!

Kelly and I have been hatching a plan to do a blog swap since CHA Summer in Chicago, and we have so much in store for you this very merry happy holiday week! We want to put the HAPPY in holiday, HA!

So let’s bring on the merry with this darling card that Kelly made for today!

Here are some tips from Kelly!

• I used VersaMark on Hero Art’s awesome kraft paper for the card base. It gives such a cool tone-on-tone look, and I love it with background stamps!”
• For the girl, first I used Copic markers to color her in. I stamped her again in red and cut out just the candy cane and bow to give dimension and to make sure the candy cane was red and white. I then adhered those to my colored image.
• Use a white gel pen to give extra pop to her hat and candy cane. I love doing that to cut out images. It just makes the white parts stand out even more!
• I cut apart that sentiment stamp so that I could stamp it stacked on the flagged panel. I love doing that because it gives you lots of styles with one stamp!
