Hello and Happy World Card Making Day!
We are HUGE fans of Operation Write Home and the wonderful work they do to help deployed service members keep in touch with loved ones at home. And we were thrilled when they invited us to be a part of their World Cardmaking Day Blog Hop! The theme of this year’s hop is wintry cards based off of a sketch. And with the holiday season approaching soon, this is a great time to get started on some holiday cards for the troops.
Kelly Rasmussen is here today to share a card based off the sketch below from our October Monthly Contest.
The adorable snowman image from the Hero Arts/Operation Write Home Winter Wishes stamp set was embossed and colored with watercolor paints. And the fun speech bubble comes from the Holiday Conversation set.
The snowman is perched on a snowy hill made from white flocking powder — such a fun texture! And speaking of texture, did you notice that awesome embossed chevron pattern on the orange paper? That is one of the new embossing folders from Sizzix/Hero Arts found here.
And now how about a fabulous giveaway to celebrate one of our favorite days of the year!
For a chance to win all the products shown above, just leave a comment on this post! And…for a bonus entry, leave us a separate comment with a link to any card you make this weekend! (One card link per person, please.) You have until Sunday, October 7 at midnight Pacific time to enter. The lucky winner will be chosen from all of the comments received and announced on Tuesday. Good luck!
Thanks for stopping by today! We wish you all a happy World Cardmaking Day and a creative weekend!
