Hello, and welcome to the first August winners’ post. This month’s theme has certainly been a popular one, and our Flickr pool is full to bursting with gorgeous cards. And here are our favorites for this month…

Our Fresh Face winner is erintaylor1, who created this stunning trio of cards using one of our sketches as inspiration and stamps from our Butterflies and Wildflowers set.

In the digital category, this fab card by Laura ODonnell, based on our first sketch, really stood out. She has used our Just for You digikit, super sizing the bird cage and owls to make them the focal point of the card. Isn’t it sweet!

And now our Fab Five, five of our favorite projects, presented in no particular order. Just like our Fresh Face and Digital winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.

First, a clean and simple beauty by paintingeyedoc (Trinh). We love this simple, graphic design - the combination of the Starburst circles and hot air balloon is just perfect.

Next, Neat and Tangled, who used Sketch 1 as the starting point for her fun vintage card. We love everything about this card - the retro style, the cute telephone, the softly inked background, the washi tape… everything!

Virginia L. used Shari’s tutorial to create her own button embellishments on her beautiful card. Don’t you just love her inked mason jar?

This striking set by ..::aga::.. really showcases the beauty of clean and simple card making. She used our Best Wishes digikit, coloring in the digital stamp in Photoshop. We love the watercolor effect she has created here.

And finally, Paperpicnic, who embossed our Flower Medley in white on blue paper to create this pretty interpretation of Sketch 1.  We think the Lattice Background creates the perfect backdrop for this floral beauty.
