Getting more mileage from sentiment stamps

Hi everyone, Tami here! Today I’m going to show you a couple of fun ways to use a single sentiment stamp on one card. The sentiment I’m using is from the NEW Life is Fun clear set — part of fabulous BasicGrey Paper Cottage collection.

First I used a little reverse masking trick to create the illusion of a layered look around the message. Simply adhere a rectangular mask over the top of the message and sponge ink around the edges. Remove the mask and - voila! - a shadow appears and it looks like your message is stamped on a separate paper layer.

The second way I used the sentiment was to repeatedly stamp it in various directions with the same Soft Sand ink, creating an allover graphic pattern. Here’s a closer look…

Happy stamping and happy weekend! :)
