Our Technique for July - Paper Flowers!
Happy Wednesday, and Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans! Shari here today, and I’m sharing this month’s featured technique. If you’ve already checked out our July contest page, you know we are looking forward to seeing all of the paper flowers you’ll be making this month!
My version comes together rather quickly and easily with our convenient flower stamp and coordinating die from the Hero Arts + Sizzix Bold Pop Designs set! I put my flowers on floral wire and gathered them together in a cute vase for a happy little home decor piece.
The flowers are stamped on various Studio Calico papers and clear embossed. Buttons are the perfect centers!
Find out how to make this project — click for complete supplies and instructions.
Now it’s your turn! Click HERE for complete contest details - the first round of entries are due Thursday, July 12 at 11:59pm PST. We hope you’ll give these paper flowers - or your own version - a try this month!

What a clever idea Shari! This looks so fun and easy to do! It’s all so unique with the making of the cone flowers, then adding the buttons to set off the flowers. The twirly wires add a nice touch as well. These are going to look so cute and cheery on my craft table for inspiration! These would also make a nice gift for a friend for a birthday, get well, thank you etc. Can’t wait to get out my paper scraps and get started on my first (of many) flower bouquets! Thanks!

Thanks for another great idea! These flowers are just right for me: they are very cheery and pretty, they’ll last for weeks, and best of all, they don’t need water!
