Hello and happy Friday, everyone! Today we’re teaming up with our friends at BasicGrey to bring you some Project Life inspiration. They’ve started a fabulous “What A Life” blog feature and when they invited us to join in the fun, we jumped at the chance! So two amazing designers — Kelly Purkey and Melanie Bauer — each put together one week of Project Life using the same Hero Arts and BasicGrey products, including Line Dots, Ampersand, Newspaper Skyline, and What a Life stamps, plus the What’s Up 6×6 paper pad, Flags and Mini Envelopes. Super fun collection of goodies, right!?

Kelly was kind enough to share some insight into her creative process with us as well. Take it away, Kelly…!

My method for Project Life is to keep it simple and make it work for me. This means paring down supplies and only using a few products so I don’t get overwhelmed and can easily complete the spread each week.

Stamps have been my go-to for this… they work for adding just the right sentiment or creating a background. I used the skyline stamp (one of my favorites!) to fill up my main title block for the week and accented it with the Basic Grey flags.

I added the What a Life and Line Dots background stamp to the Basic Grey paper to create fun patterns on my cards. The spread came together in a snap and it makes me happy to look at the fun little touches that the stamps add!
