Those Difficult Cards…

Hi everyone! Lisa here, and today I’m tackling those cards that are so very difficult to make. The sympathy cards. I truly have the hardest time making them — I usually end up staring at a blank card with tears running down my cheeks and no idea what to stamp. :( But sometimes they are necessary. And one thing that makes the cards a wee bit easier to create is a set of perfect messages - a set like CL577 Remember.

For my cards, I paired the messages from Remember with some happy hearts from Untitled Heart. And although I do hate making sympathy cards, one thing I *love* is the new Stone Wash Mid-Tone Shadow Ink I used on the polka dot heart. Love love love this pretty blue!

Some may feel that sympathy cards need to be serious and subdued, but I know I for one appreciate cheerful, uplifting cards when I’m feeling blue. And I just love this message combined with some colorful happy hearts!

Thanks Lisa. This are such pretty sympathy cards. As others have said, I wish I’d had this inspiration a couple of weeks ago. A good friend of ours lost his Mother and right before that I lost a grade school girlfriend. Thanks for the inspiration to do something other than flowers.

Lovely sympathy cards Lisa. I try to make mine respectful but upbeat-ish too. I get sad when I have to make the too, I think it makes the card even more special, surely the recipient can feel that, right?
