Sending Hugs and a NEW Contest!

Hello! It’s Julie back with another lovey dovey card! But first, I am super excited to announce that we have a new blinkie contest!

Three lucky winners will win a $20 Hero Arts shopping spree! To enter, just grab the code from the sidebar at right for the blinkie or badge — your choice. Add it to your blog, then let us know by leaving a comment on THIS post, making sure to include a link to your blog in the comment. We can’t wait to see those hearts blinking and we’re nuts about the sweet squirrel, too! Randomly selected winners will be announced Friday, February 3rd.

Now on to the card! Punched hearts tucked inside an itty bitty envelope sends such a sweet message, don’t you think?! Check this out…

I stamped the Friends Definition background stamp with a soft tan ink onto some cream colored stock and then trimmed it down just ¼” smaller than the A-2 card. I added some twine, and stamped a tiny heart from the  XO stamp set—I inked it with Barn Door Red Distress Ink then stamped it off onto scratch paper before stamping it onto the background to look like little hearts floating up into the air. A little banner with the “sending hugs” sentiment across the top completes the look. How could you not feel loved when you got this in the snail mail?

     Love the friend definition stamp. I had to wait almost a year for that stamp back when it was so popular I kept ordering it but it would be out of stock every single time! Finally got it about 6 months ago!! I love the tiny little heart stamp too-looks like XO will be added to my Hero Arts stamps now and that adorable little envelope is soo cute!      Hi, I have followed the Hero Art’s Blog since it began. I love your products, your design teams and the lovely work you all put up for us to see and be inspired by….however…you have now cut out many of your followers from participating in your give aways because your must have a blog your self to play. I have been a stamper since the 1980’s when I bought my first stamp and my first embossing powder. I try to go to the conventions, support brick and mortar stores when I can (we have none where I live), and belong to a local stamp club. I love the people who work in this art form…they are so giving of their talent. BUT I do not have the time nor the desire to set up a blog of my own. I enjoy following many fine paper-crafters and I marvel at the TIME they have for crafting. Please don’t forget stampers who support you but can not run a blog themselves…I wish I had the time and the energy to do so, but I’d rather use my time making cards. As a recent cancer patient, energy is a rear gift!!! Thank you!!!!

     have to agree with the lady above… while I absolutely LOVE HA product and truly enjoy your blog, hops, designers, etc… it pains me every time I see folks like me excluded. I do not have the time for a blog as I care for my aging parents ( 2 sets!), tho my FIL recently passed in 2011… I don’t really know how to do the photo thing either, so I am often eliminated from those challenges as well.Doubt I am alone here. I try to take as many on-line classes that I can afford as not too much in the scrappin world going on here is depressed MI. Nonetheless, I just love the card above…always am excited to see what you folks put out…u really do have some very talented people on your roster. tyvm
