Silver Snowflake Video + Advent Calendar Finale!

Hi you guys! I’m back for my last day on the blog this week, can’t believe how fast it’s gone by. I have a super sweet stampy friend joining me today — LIBBY! Yay!

Libby used to live here with me in Austin, TX and we’d have many stampy adventures together. Now that she’s moved we have to do long distance stamping, ha! But we still have tons of fun! Just look at these four amazing tags that she did — everything was cut out using the Silhouette!

(Four amazing tags by Libby Hickson. Love them so much!)

I can’t get over how finely detailed the Silhouette cuts, can you? Just look at the hands on the caroler’s, the bird’s little feet and curl (the curl! so cute!), the snowfake, and the garland on the tree! Wow!

Here are the links to the Hero Arts cutting files that Libby used in the Silhouette online store:

Next up, two silver snowflakes I created using my new favorite ink: StazOn Metallic Silver ink!

I stamped the left one on paper and the right one on acetate — here’s a little video to show how I created them plus tips and tricks on how to use  this shimmery silvery ink!

And now the moment you’ve been waiting for! Without further ado, here’s the finished advent calendar!

Here’s a link back to the calendar before adding all of the little tags and bling. Can’t believe how much glitter I used on this — almost a whole bottle of Rock Candy Distress Stickles, oh my!

Many thanks to Libby for making her wonderful tags — Libby, you rock! Sending you a virtual cupcake and a HUGE hug! :)

Join us back on the blog tomorrow for Social Club Thursday! Then Friday is Veteran’s Day, and we’ll be hopping along with the Operation Write Home 11.11.11 Bloghop.

And don’t forget, save $10 off of  Silhouette’s limited edition advent calendar with promo code HERO — the offer is good until this Friday!

See you then,

Lisa, this is the most gorgeous advent calendar I’ve ever seen - love it! It’s brilliant that you and Libby can have fun with your long distance stamping together! Love Libby’s fab tags! Thanks for the great video! I’ve never used Metallic StazOn but after looking at what you did with the snowflakes, I’ll have to look out for it now!
