I can’t believe it’s Friday already — where has the week gone? I had so much fun hosting the blog this week and wish it wasn’t coming to an end. But before I go, I have two more things left to share!

First up, a little inspiration for your weekend. People often ask me where I get my creative ideas– well, that’s an easy one: everywhere + the kitchen sink!

This is one of my favorite by Henry David Thoreau — and that’s saying a bunch, because I like most of his quotes. And I really do find inspiration everywhere, like this morning when I was thinking about *window* cards for the monthly contest and the sun was shining so sweetly through these prairie wildflowers that my husband gave me.

Sometimes I get a little too much inspiration and I can’t sleep until I jot everything down so I won’t forget! Here are just a few ideas from this photo:

• A pool, yellow, orange, purple, green and brown color combo
• Adding a touch of silver embossing
• Making a gatefold card
• A window card with an actual window
• Having a bird (in this case, a chicken!) walking among some blooms

And now, how about a little challenge? Walk around your house and look at things with new eyes — yep, even the kitchen sink! If you find something that sparks your stamping, post a photo of your card or project to the Hero Arts Flickr Group and tag it with HAinspirationfriday9. You can take a photo of your inspiration so that we can all be inspired, too! Or you can just put it in the description. And, please feel free to create a project based on this photo if you like. Can’t wait to see what you create.
