Button Necklace Video

I love Wednesdays… it means it is time for another video!

In my house, summertime means lots of crafts. We always seem to be creating something inside when it is too hot outside! So I thought I would share a fun project I like to do around here with my teenage step-daughters - button necklaces. This video shows how to create two different types of necklaces using Hero Arts Buttons.

Here is a closer look at the necklaces from the video. The first is the button + knot necklace.

Oh! And check it out - this necklace uses a great summertime color combination. It reminds me of yummy watermelon…

By the way, these necklaces are GREAT for summer roadtrips. Just grab a bag of buttons and some string and you are good to go!

   How do you finish up the ends and hook it together? I am brand new at jewelery making, and think this would be a great way to try something new. Thanks for the tutorial and the followup info.

   The only thing missing on the video is the end of the necklace, did you make another knot? did you make a clasp with the string? and how?

    The second necklace reminds me of one my grandmother had when I was a kid. I am definately going to make some of these! Thank you for the tutorial!
