Hello friends! It’s time to announce the second batch of winners for our May challenge! WOW…there were so many inspiring takes on flowers, ATCs and colored pencils this month! Narrowing it down to seven favorites was very difficult, and we’d like to say a great big thanks to everyone who entered. Here we go now with our May2011B selections…

First up is our Fresh Face winner melaniadeasy, whose gorgeous card with its vividly colored flowers immediately grabbed our attention. The baker’s twine stems and gem clusters are fun additions here — as her card says, it’s the little things.

In the Digital category, we have a sparkling ATC from prospurring (Anne). She used elements from our Flowers Digital Design Kit CD to create this pretty trading card that’s sure to bring the recipient a big smile!

And now our Fab Five,  five of our favorite projects, presented in no particular order. Just like our Fresh Face and Digital winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.

First, meghan-solo created this simply beautiful floral card using the Small Sweet Petals stamp. We love the light, airy feel and the way the background texture shows through the softly colored blooms.

Next up, skrappergirl caught our attention with this bold color combination and that amazing flower that just pops off the card! Click on her name to read how she made the flower using the Luscious Bold Flowers Set.

Anna-Karin (A-K) created these stunning ATCs using the Blossom Etchings stamp set. We love her use of colored pencils to add highlights to the flowers. Just attach these little masterpieces to the front of some notecards and you have a beautiful set of cards that would make a great gift.

Next, check out this gorgeous floral creation from bdengler4 (Barb). The background was created using this technique that Jennifer shared on the blog a couple weeks ago. And we love the results of combining colored pencils and Copics to color the flowers.

And finally, Sharon D. from Canada blew us away with her stitched felt flower pin using the Stencil Flower stamp. Just amazing! Here are a few more that she made for each of her fellow Hero Hostesses…what lucky girls!
