New Contest + Watercolor Technique Video

Today is the first day of June!!! That means it’s time to announce our new challenge! This month we have Weddings and Congratulations as our themes, and our featured technique is Watercolors. (Watercolor projects can be of ANY theme.) Click over to our contest info page for more details regarding themes, dates, and prizes.

Today I am sharing a great video and card created by Shari Carroll. It features using Distress Inks as watercolors to add bright colors to your stamped images — one of many ways you could incorporate watercolor techniques into your creations this month.

This card is simply adorable!

   What a cute card, Shari! Terrific video, too - I love how you got natural shading and it looks so easy! And thanks for the tip about adding darker colour on the edges of the tree!

   Thank you for the wonderful tutorial Shari:-) I haven’t used distress inks to colour as I use Copic markers, but this is such a great technique for when I cant find the perfect copic colour to match my project!
