Kraft Cardstock + Colored Pencils: Favorite Video
Hello!
Today I have another floral card using colored pencils with kraft paper. I love how bold the color gets if you put it on heavily and add some highlights with a white pencil.
Card by Jennifer McGuire. Complete supplies and instructions here.
To do the circle in the center, I created a circle mask with a circle punch and sticky note. I put the mask on the kraft paper and stamped the Floral Corsage image over it with Hero Hues Black Dye Ink. Before removing the mask, I traced around it with a black pen to make it stand out. I then stamped the greeting and colored with a white pencil. This is a great way to make a truly flat card that gives the look of dimension!
Creating this card reminded me of a video I did in the past. I thought I would share it here again - an old favorite. It shows how to mask, along with how to color with colored pencils on kraft (watch at the 2:00 mark). I used both of these techniques to create the card above.
I hope this favorite video inspires you to try out kraft paper and colored pencils. See you tomorrow!
