April Winners - Round 2

Welcome to the winners post for the second round of our April Contest! We were blown away by all the amazing creations this month and want to thank each of you who submitted an entry. Masculine cards always seem to be the one type of card that we struggle with, but you all proved otherwise! Check out all the fabulous entries here for some incredible inspiration.
Our Fresh Face winner is kimba7669 with this wonderful clean and simple masculine card. Kimberley used the Friend Definition image to create a gorgeous distressed background and the jute and brads are the perfect manly accents.

In the Digital category we were immediately drawn to this adorable creation by ivgupta(Isha). She used the Monster Party DigiKit to create this cute monster circus card for her nephew. And the use of twine as a tightrope…so clever!

Now onto our Fab Five, five of our favorite projects, presented in no particular order. Just like our Fresh Face and Digital winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.
First up is this stunning layout by Agata Dag using sketch #3. Take a look at all those stamps she used to create the background! Twelve different patterns, but when stamped on kraft cardstock with white ink they flow seamlessly.

MyPinkMexico (Mary Dawn) used the featured Stamp Layering Technique on this beautiful sympathy card. The Timely Bird image along with the Old Letter Writing image were used to create the vintage-styled focal point. And she’s even got a video here on her blog showing how she created the card.

Next up, scrapperjjb also used the Stamp Layering Technique to create this eye-catching flower. The little details such as the gems and sewing finish off this simply perfect card.

Stampin Sue wowed us with her masculine card made of balsa wood and sandpaper…it doesn’t get any more manly than that! The Large Plaid Pattern stamp gives the card great texture and is the perfect backdrop to the Three Ferns image.

And finally moonpie creations (Lisa A.) with her cheery birthday card that was inspired by sketch #3. The clear embossed Life of the Party Words image creates a subtle tone-on-tone background to the wonderfully paper-pieced cake and present.

Congratulations to all the winners!! Please contact us at winner@heroarts.com with your address and phone number, and also include your list of $50 worth of product by Thursday, May 12. You can look through our online store to create your list. Please include “April2011B Winner” in the subject line. There are also blog blinkies available for all the winners - if you’d like one, please let us know in your email and we’ll send it along as well!
Thanks to all of you who participated this round — we loved seeing all of your gorgeous creations!
Happy Cinco de Mayo!
