Stamp Layering Technique Video
Hi and welcome to Watch It Wednesday! I’ve got a lot to share today, so let’s get started.
This month’s featured technique is Stamp Layering and Shari has created a wonderful video that demonstrates this technique. It’s such a great way to add dimension to your cards and projects!

Card by Shari Carroll. Find complete supplies and instructions here.
I was inspired by Shari’s fun flowery card, so I decided to give the Stamp Layering technique a try using the Blossom Art clear stamp set. And I also used the following sketch that is a part of this month’s contest.

Card by Kelly Rasmussen. Find complete supplies and instructions here.
I stamped the flowers and leaves on top of the Envelope Pattern image. I just love the subtle texture that this stamps adds! The flowers were cut apart into three layers and then assembled using foam adhesive.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow when we will announce the second round winners of the March contest!
Happy Stamping!

Hi Shari, Your video was great. I learned several new ways to make stamping easier and more efficient like using a stamp press for background stamps and taping different papers on a “dummy” image so you only have to stamp once and get all of your parts. Seems like I’m forever doing things the hard (and slow) way - no wonder it takes me forever to create a finished project! Thanks for sharing!

Hi~ This is such a great card…and I have never seen anything like it! I do have a question, I hope you will have time to answer.
When you placed the paper pieces on top of the flowers/leaves…and then you put the embossing powder…then heat embossed…how did your card end up being entirely white? I thought you had stamped the text of the stamp on the card also? I missed something somewhere! Will you please email me and let me know where I blinked? I really, really like this effect…and I love to use every bit of my paper, also. I would really love to make a card like this…well a few of them actually.
Please email me the answer if you are allowed. I appreciate it!
