Holiday Cardmaking Round 1!

Yes, it’s only October, and we haven’t even handed out any Halloween candy.  But you are stampers, so you know all too well - it’s never too early to start your Holiday Cardmaking!  Here’s a group of ladies who aren’t waiting until the last minute to work on their card list - our contest winners!

First we’ll share our Digital winner from Agata Dag - an absolutely delightful use of our Big Green Owl DigiKit.  The red glitter is a perfect holiday accent.  And check out that hat - Agata knitted it to keep her owl warm.  What a multi-talented lady!

Our Fresh Face winner this time is mkmermaid (Maureen), who created this adorable scene of our reindeer from the Children’s Christmas DigiKit flying high above the Silly Scape city on a beautifully stamped background.  Wonderful card, Maureen!  We look forward to seeing more from you!

And now onto our Fab Five - five fabulous projects, presented in no particular order. Just like our Digital and Fresh Face winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.

We love how luv2scrapnat (Natalie) transformed our Tall Birdhouse into a winter scene!  And she also inked up her ribbon to match the color she used on the sky.  Very nice!

Skermit12 (Stephanie) took on the challenge of making a photo card, and we’re so glad she did - this makes us smile big-time!  Her cat looks so thrilled to be wearing that hat, doesn’t she?  LOL!  And we also love that Stephanie pulled an oldie but goodie from her stash to stamp the ornament and message.

This sweet little card from kath in westhill is so homey and fun!  We loved the blue background on this one, but be sure to check out her photostream, she did a whole series of cards using our little houses and tree.

Speaking of blue, these blue ornaments from shellshaub are completely gorgeous!  We love that she added shine to them as well.  This is a simple card with a ton of impact!

And finally this fun little card from sarahjane4kids (Sarah M).  The thing that we love most about this card is that she attached felt snowflakes right over top of her stamped snowflake background.  Well ok, we also love that she built a snowman with our Create Your Own set.  And that she used techniques from Jennifer’s Holiday Thinking Inking class. Ok fine, we admit it - we just love the whole darn thing.  :-)

Congratulations ladies!  Please send an email to with your choice of $50 worth of Hero Arts product, along with your shipping address. Visit the Hero Arts Online Store to help put together your list.  And please include “October2010A” in the subject of your email.  If you’d like a blinkie for your blog to let everyone know you won, be sure to request it in your email as well.

And a great big thanks to everyone who submitted a project this round.  They were all so wonderful!!  Remember, this month’s Holiday Cardmaking contest is only half over - get your project submitted to the Hero Arts Flickr Pool by next Thursday, October 28 at 11:59pm PST to be in the running for the 2nd half of this contest!

Sally will be back with another wonderful Glue Arts creation tomorrow, see you then!
