Oh dear! What’s this?

Hi everyone!  It’s Lisa here, and you read that right: this week I’ve swapped blogs with Kelly Marie, the owner of Lawn Fawn stamps.  Lawn Fawn stamps are high-quality photopolymer clear stamps and are made in the USA — just like Hero Arts’!

We have a mega fun week in store for you all involving stamping on one of my favorite things — felt.  But first, I’ve got an announcement to make!  We’ve started a new Stamp of the Week program today, where we will feature a special stamp at a discount.  This week’s stamp is the very versatile Traditional Pumpkin (F5270)!

It’s perfect for Halloween, Thanksgiving and all your fall stamping. Enjoy a 25% off savings all this week right here in the Hero Arts Online Store. Woo hoo!

Now then, you’ve got to meet Kelly Marie! She is super creative and super sweet, too.  I did a little mini interview with her so that you can get to know her better — here goes!

Lisa: How long ago did you start Lawn Fawn, and why did you start it?

Kelly Marie: Lawn Fawn officially opened on March 10, 2010, but we started worked on Lawn Fawn much earlier than that! It was a dream a long time in the making. When I started falling in love with this crafty industry, I was in a place where I really wanted to do something that I loved as a career. I finally put two and two together and started off on my dream of owning a craft company! I came together with my long time friend, Erica, and my husband, Mike, and Lawn Fawn was born! It has been amazing ever since. I am excited to get up everyday and go to work. We all absolutely love working on Lawn Fawn, and I think that joy shows in our stamps!

Lisa: How would you describe your stamping style?

Kelly Marie: My stamping style is definitely fun and cute! I love whimsy and bright colors. Crafting is my happy place, and, well, I want my happy place to be filled with happy! Fun and cute is a world where all reality can be suspended and imagination takes over. What could be more awesome than that? :)

Lisa: Most importantly, what is your favorite dessert?

Kelly Marie: I can’t just pick one favorite dessert. It’s too hard! I am going to go for a top three: Breyer’s mint chocolate chip ice cream, flan, and flourless chocolate cake. Is it bad that now my mouth is watering? :)

I know my mouth is watering, ha ha!  And your mouth will be watering even more when you see the wonderful felt goodies that Kelly Marie has cooked up, starting with this simply stunning felt wreath!  I let out a big GAH! when Kelly Marie sent it to me!

I can’t wait to make one of these myself!  I just love the softness and texture that felt brings to the wreath — wouldn’t it look great at a fall party? Here’s a closeup so that you can see it better:

And speaking of parties, these place cards that Kelly Marie made to match the wreath would add the nicest little personal touch!

I love how Kelly Marie cleverly stamped the Scroll Label on a Kraft Notecard to incorporate the score — she is just brilliant!

And! I had tons of fun stamping on felt too!  Want to see what I came up with?  Click on over to the Lawn Fawn blog!

Thanks so much for joining us today!  We’ll be back tomorrow with more felty goodness,
