Some August winners!

It’s the time of year again… summer is winding down… kids are returning to school… and our stamping friends are filling our Flickr group pool with wonderful creations for our August contest! Once again we are sitting here in awe of the amount of talent out there, and so honored that you all do such incredible work with our stamps! It’s never easy to judge these entries, but this was another particularly difficult round. Truly, a wonderful job by everyone! But we did eventually manage to narrow it down…
First up is our pick for Fresh Face, and we are thrilled to introduce you to Olivia Martin! This back to school card is an absolutely fabulous combination of stamps, featuring our apple, owl and best of all, that wonderful subtle background of Old Letter Writing. We love how she pulled it all together to create this fun card! Olivia also created a fantastic gift card holder this round, be sure to check it out!

Our Digital category winner is this adorable set from Vera Rhuhay! Vera combined hand stamped elements from Just a Note and a variety of other stamps with the cute school bus from the Kiddie Conveyance Digikit for this hybrid creation. We love everything about this sweet back to school ensemble!

And now onto our Fab Five - five fabulous projects, presented in no particular order. Just like our Digital and Fresh Face winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.
First up is the gorgeous creation from MyPinkMexico (Mary Dawn) - absolute clean and simple perfection! The button and string are just the right coordinating embellishments with our Hydrandgea stamp. Well done!

This glorious stationery set from madsen.lisette features the same Hydrandgea, and is a great example of the versatility of the stamp - it’s lovely whether it’s stamped, colored or embossed in white! This stationery set is just gorgeous, you can see more photos of it in her photostream.

Next is a happy little card from scrapperjjb! Our favorite part is that string of liquid - so clever! And the coloring of images from our Kiss the Cook set is exquisite.

The next card from tomoh08 (Tomo) put a huge smile on our faces!! Absolutely adorable and so much fun!! Tomo made several fun and fabulous cards with our Silly Scape stamp, check them out in her photostream!

And finally, an amazing creation from stampersuzz (Suzanne)! There are so many wonderful things about this card we don’t even know where to begin! Just… wow!!

A big congratulations to all the winners!! Please contact us at winner@heroarts.com with your address and phone number, and also include your list of $50 worth of product! You can look through the Hero Arts online store to create your list. Please include “August2010A Winner” in the subject line. There are also blog blinkies available for all the winners - if you’d like one, please let us know in your email and we’ll send it along as well!
Our August contest is only half over, you still have time to submit your Back to School or Keeping in Touch themed creations, or your handmade stationery sets! Just get them uploaded to the Hero Arts Flickr group pool by Thursday, August 26 at 11:59pm PST, and tag them with August2010B.
Now let’s take a look at what our Hero Hostesses have been up to the last few weeks - other than spreading love in the Flickr group, of course! You can click on the snippets or the names below to visit the full cards and leave some love back for them!
