A week you can’t resist…
Hello, everyone!
I am excited to be back hosting this week. We are continuing our monthly theme of Summer Fun, 4th of July and the Color Layering technique. (Click HERE or on the image below for all the information you need to enter our contest!)
This week I am going to focus on one of my all-time favorite stamping techniques: resist. Resist always has magical-like results that are such fun. If you have never tried resist - great! - as we will show you everything you need to know. If you have done resist many times - no problem! - as I will share some new tricks and twists.
I thought I would start the week off with just a basic resist using our Hero Hues Chalk Inks. This is SO easy and addictive! Just stamp with Versamark ink on glossy white cardstock and heatset. You won’t see the image, but you will soon. Just press the chalk ink pad directly onto the piece to cover completely. Then, buff it with a cloth and you will see the image pop up like magic! For more intense color, repeat a few times. You can do this technique with dye ink, too. However, I really love the results with Hero Hues Chalk Inks as they give vibrant color and a smooth, chalky-like finish…

I always love your card sets, and these are ir-resist-able!
Jane’s buttons make a perfect embellishment with the ribbon/twine.

OMG, I love these cards that Jennifer McGuire made using the resist technique. I forget how great that simple technique can make a card stand out. Seeing these cards makes me want to get out my VersaMark ink pad and glossy white paper and start playing.
