It’s Social Club time, when we pop by with some great finds from our Flickr group pool. Today we’re featuring cards created using images from the Hero Arts collection available in the Silhouette download store (HERE!).
Did you know that starting this month, cards or projects using a Hero Arts Silhouette Design now qualify for the Digital category of our monthly contest? Yup, it’s true! You can use either a Hero Arts Digital Kit or a Hero Arts Silhouette Design! You can find all of the contest details HERE. And a suggestion - if you upload a card that uses a Hero Arts Silhouette Design, add “digisilhouette” as one of your tags. It will make it easier for us to find you! (hint, hint!)
And now for some wonderful inspiration on how to use Silhouette image cuts on your cards! This first beauty comes from dustypenny. Joy did a wonderful job combining the butterfly image cut with traditional stamping. Her hand stitching is the perfect touch to finish the card.
Next is a fun and festive creation from sarahjane4kids (Sarah M)! Sarah cut out the message on her Silhouette and embellished with stamping and buttons. Her color combination makes us happy, and aren’t those buttons in the letters adorable??
And finally a beautiful card from skrappergirl. Nothing says you can’t get your image cuts inky! Michelle did a lovely job of distressing these cattails, it’s simply gorgeous!
If you’d like more inspiration using the Hero Arts Silhouette Designs, click on these ladies’ photostreams - there are more fantastic examples! Thank you ladies for sharing your creations with the group. We have sidebar blinkies for everyone featured during Social Club - if you’d like one, send a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org! And a big thanks to ALL OF YOU for sharing with us, it is all of YOU that make our online community GREAT!
Don’t forget, the first half of our June contest is wrapping up TONIGHT - be sure to get your “Summer Fun , 4th of July & Color Layering” creations submitted to the Flickr Pool by 11:59pm PST, tagged with “June2010A”.
