Are we the only ones who think this year is flying by?  June already??  Wow, how did that happen?  But June being here is a great thing - it means summer is upon us (here in the USA anyway, sorry to our southern hemisphere friends!), and it means we have the rest of our May contest winners from our Birthdays, Dads & Grads theme to announce!  The second half of the month (HERE) yielded absolutely fantastic entries, just like the first half of the month (HERE)!  Check them out for inspiration, and leave them some love!  And now on to the winners…

What a FUN winner for the Fresh Face category - we’re so excited to introduce you to k8sphoto and this adorable watermelon-shaped card!  Our little girl from the PolyClear set You’re the Best has never looked happier than she does perched up there on that melon!

There’s no need to introduce you to our Digital category winner, you all know and love her work!  Yes that’s right, jillianavery8222 was at it again, creating this gorgeous birthday card with our Winged Friends DigiKit.  Absolutely gorgeous, Jill!

And now onto our Fab Five - some of our favorite cards this month, presented in no particular order. Just like our Digital and Fresh Face winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.

This first card from joytaylor1975 has already inspired many on Flickr.  Her absolutely stunning background was created with our Starburst Lace stamp.  Joy was sweet enough to share her technique in a wonderful video tutorial, found HERE.

This next card from hellemor13 uses a huge variety of Hero Arts stamps - we love that!!  What a fun, cheerful birthday butterfly.  And those button antennae!!  So cute and clever!

Next up is a fantastic Father’s Day card from walchowDesign!  First of all, it’s gorgeously masculine.  But look at the clever way she hid a message in our Antique Engravings shell!  Fabulous!

It was difficult deciding which of Jette/Denmark’s wonderful cards to declare a winner - in the end we settled on this absolutely gorgeous canvas card featuring our Antique Engravings butterflies and Elegant Weeds.  (Sidenote: Am I the only one that thinks “Elegant Weeds” is a fantastic name??  hee hee!) This card is so soft and beautiful.  But we also loved her fun cupcake card!

And last but not least, a wonderful scrapbook page from Vera Rhuhay!  She combined images from our Galaxy of Stars with the ruler and notebook page from Just a Note for a perfect graduation layout.  We also love how she punched the edge of the journaling block, such a great touch.  And just look at that proud, smiling face!  Just like Jette, we had a hard time figuring out which of Vera’s creations to highlight, her Sally-inspired birthday card was really great, too!
