More April Winners!

april_theme_500b

Can you believe it’s May already?  April was a fantastic month from our point of view - so many wonderful contest entries!  You can check out all of the submissions from the second half of the month in our Flickr pool HERE.  And now for the fun part… the announcement of winners!!

First our Digital winner - ctprezzia!  She used our Sew Crafty Digikit to create this special card, perfect for a mom who sews.  She even wound real thread around the spool - fabulous!  (Clare’s image was removed for publication.)

We’re happy to introduce you to Stokroteczka, our Fresh Face this time around.  We love how she used Feathers and Woodgrain Circle, stamps you wouldn’t necessarily think to use on a pretty, pink, blinged-up Mother’s Day card!  Well done!

And now for our Fab Five, presented in no particular order. Just like our Digital and Fresh Face winners, every member of the Fab Five will receive a $50 Hero Arts shopping spree.

This fun Mother’s Day card with a retro feel from nancyljk is soft, pretty and FABULOUS, just as the card says!

Now that we’ve covered Mother’s Day, let’s look at some fun creations from the other half of our theme - HOME.  We loved how dlorence (Deb) used a variety of different Hero Arts stamps to create this sweet little scene. (She also has a flair for the elegant — check out this pretty Mother’s Day card!)

These birds sure do have a sweet home on this delightful card created by kath in westhill!  She masked off the door and windows from the house in Mi Casa to create this birdhouse - very clever!

Here’s another card that shows that the “Home” theme didn’t have to mean a people home - Paper Girl created a barnyard home for our animal friends.  She used a bunch of different sets to create this wonderful scene, but our favorite was her use of the Hydrangea stamp to make a tree!  Fantastic!

And finally, an absolutely amazing pop-up card from newkidfish (Cathy A).  The amount of time she must have spent on this boggles the mind.  She even stamped brocade on the inside of the house for wallpaper!  Oh my.  A definite A for effort on this one - and a Fab Five prize!!

Our May contest is underway, and the theme is Birthdays, Dad & Grads. We’re so excited to see what you come up with, the sky’s the limit with this theme!  You can find all of the contest details HERE.

Happy Stamping!

Being from Arizona, I hear “Mi Casa, Su Casa” quite a bit and I’ve always loved that saying so much better in spanish. That’s it, I have to get that wood grain stamp, it can be used in so many different ways. I love how you used that as the background. Yet another great idea by you extremely talented card makers on this Hero site. I love how you placed the birdhouse and the flowers as well.

Deb, I love your sweet little house and especially how you used the polka dotted paper for all the pieces. I forget that I can stamp on patterned paper as well and how that can add to the stamped images. Thanks for reminding me.

Okay this “Hope Your Day is Fabulous” card with the two retro woman on it, is awesome. I just adore their dresses. I can’t even tell if that is just patterned paper on their dresses or if it’s actual material or what. All I know is that these two women rock! The ric rack is the perfect topper.

I really like this Mother’s Day card where “Stokroteczka” used the feather stamp repeatedly and embossed it in white. Sometimes white embossing powder can give a real dramatic look to the image your using. I also love the pretty felt ribbon.

I am in love with this “You’re Sew Special” card by ctprezzia. I love, love, love how you did the ribbon, I love how you put it on kraft paper and I just think that sewing machine is so darn cute. Why don’t I have that stamp I’m wondering? This is just the cutest. Great job!!

I love the barn scene. It’s very creative. It reminds me of when I was little and would play with my dollhouse.
